The articles collected here examine the common living forms in Israel proper - within the green line - from a point of view that combines architecture and society: the ethnic, national and class identity of the living forms and their inhabitants, the ways in which architecture for housing expresses ideology and social concepts, and more.
Shelly Cohen is an architect and the curator of the Architect's House Gallery in Jaffa. She teaches in the College of Management.
Tulla Amir is an architect. She teaches at the Tel Aviv University. She was curator of the Israeli Pavillion at the 2006 Venice Architecture Biennale.
